The 2018 Chevy Bolt is the first all-electric car with a range of over 200 miles on a single charge. The Chevy Bolt features regeneration on demand, a very clever system which provides the driver with a paddle behind the steering wheel which can be used to slow the vehicle down. When this is used, the braking energy is converted into electricity which is then sent back to the battery, further adding to the already impressive range of this electric vehicle. Utilizing the regeneration on demand feature to slow the vehicle down instead of the brakes some of the time has the added benefit of increasing the life of the brake pads, saving you money in the long run.
